Color is only one aspect of lure choice and, as we will see, we do not need all colors for every bass fishing lure made.

When choosing colors of a

Now let's take a look at some fishing conditions we might encounter when bass fishing to help determine the best colors to fish with.

Conditions: bright daylight, water clarity better than 3.5 feet - bass fish with natural colors that are native to the body of water your on in shades of green, watermelon, pumpkin, or natural bass baitfish and prey colors such as silver, white, and gray. More bass fishing tips to consider when deciding which colors to use:

1) Bass fishing lures lose their coloring and their colors appear more as shades of gray when fished in deeper than 20 feet of water therefore when fishing these depths use any opaque dark colored bass lure.

2) Wind and water current lessens the amount of light penetration into the water, therefore when bass fishing in these conditions adjust your color accordingly.

3) Use darker colored bass fishing lures in winter as bass seek deeper waters.

4) The warmer the water the lighter the color choice of your bass fishing lure.

5) Bass lure color choice when fishing in clear water should involve natural colors.

These color tips should help us fish with the most productive bass fishing colors for each situation.
